So on Thursday, I went and bought myself a new companion--a bearded dragon. Though I am doubtful both of name and gender, this baby is such a sweetie! I'm determined to feed him only the best, so he gets well fed on gut-loaded crickets and is offered fresh apple shavings (he shows utter lack of interest, even when it is placed against his scaly lips). I tried to take a picture for you guys, but it's nighttime and I don't feel like turning on a light and disturbing his sleep cycle.

As a direct result, I have a very small tank filled with crickets. It's gross.
